Starting music lessons can feel daunting, especially if you're a complete beginner.
Here's what you can expect when you learn with Manhattan Music School.

Get in Touch
Contact us by phone (03) 9439 4800 or through our online form. We'll chat about your goals, preferred instrument, age, experience level, and availability to find the perfect teacher and time slot for you.

Book Your First Lesson
We'll schedule your first lesson at a time that suits you. Lessons run Monday-Friday 1:30pm-9:00pm and Saturday 9:00am-2:30pm. All lessons are one-on-one and tailored to your individual needs.

Start Learning
Your teacher will assess your current level (if applicable) and work with you to create a customized learning plan. You'll start making music from day one, whether that's learning your first chord or refining advanced techniques.

Practice & Progress
With regular lessons and consistent practice (we recommend at least 15 minutes daily), you'll see steady improvement. Your teacher provides guidance, feedback, and encouragement every step of the way.

Perform & Celebrate
Join our band workshops and work towards performing at the annual Manhattan Music Rock Show. There's nothing quite like the thrill of sharing your music with an audience!

All lessons are held at our Eltham North location
and include comprehensive music theory alongside practical instruction.
Text books and learning materials are available for purchase in-store.
We also offer formal examination preparation for AMEB, Rockschool, and ANZCA qualifications.
PERFORMANCE & WORKSHOPS
Beyond the Practice Room

Band Workshops

Annual Rock Show
