Founded in 2004, what began as a small passion project has evolved into one of the region's most respected and trusted music schools.
Based in Eltham North, we're more than just a place to learn an instrument – we're a community where students of all ages discover their musical voice, build lifelong skills, and create memories that echo for years to come.

Two Decades of Music Education
Since opening our doors in 2004, Manhattan Music School has been driven by one simple mission- to make music education accessible, enjoyable, and transformative for everyone.
What began as a small local music school in Eltham North has flourished into a thriving community hub, teaching hundreds of students each year from across Greensborough, Diamond Creek, Montmorency, Lower Plenty, and greater Melbourne. From curious 5-year-olds picking up their first guitar to 91-year-old students fulfilling lifelong dreams, we've seen it all – and we wouldn't have it any other way.
We've watched our students grow from tentative beginners into confident performers. We've celebrated countless "firsts" – first chords, first songs, first performances. And year after year, we've witnessed the magic that happens when passion meets dedication on stage at our annual Manhattan Music Rock Show.
Today, Manhattan Music remains family-owned and locally focused, maintaining the same warm, welcoming atmosphere that's been our hallmark since day one.

The Manhattan Music Rock Show
The highlight of our year is the legendary Manhattan Music Rock Show – an annual concert where students of all ages and abilities take the stage in front of family, friends, and fellow musicians. Held at the end of each year, this isn't just a recital; it's a full production complete with professional sound, lighting, and an atmosphere that brings the house down.
Students prepare throughout the year, working towards this culminating performance that showcases everything they've learned. For many, it's a transformative experience that builds confidence, stage presence, and memories that last a lifetime.
From nervous beginners playing their first public chords to advanced students commanding the stage like seasoned pros, every performance is celebrated. Parents, families, and friends fill the venue year after year to witness the incredible growth and talent of our students.
