This depends on your situation, but renting is usually the most practical starting point. For children, renting makes sense because they'll outgrow smaller sizes. We can point you toward stores with good rental and rent-to-own deals.

Practice is where real progress happens with violin. New students should aim for 15 to 20 minutes each day, building up to 30 minutes or more as you advance. We always give clear practice goals after each lesson.

Violin can be loud, particularly in the early stages! Practising during sensible hours usually keeps everyone happy.

Of course — we have many adult violin students! Adults bring maturity, focus, and dedication that serve them well. Learning an instrument as an adult is deeply satisfying — come and experience it.

A classical foundation is the gold standard for violin. Proper bowing, intonation, and posture are universal skills. From there, your teacher can introduce contemporary styles whenever you're ready.
