It's a personal decision, but renting is usually the most practical starting point. For children, renting makes sense because they'll outgrow smaller sizes. We can point you toward stores with good rental and rent-to-own deals.

Consistent daily practice makes the biggest difference. Even 15 minutes daily is a great starting point, with more as skills grow. Consistent daily practice builds the muscle memory and technique violin demands.

Let's be honest — beginner violin isn't always easy on the ears! Daytime practice is generally well tolerated.

Starting with classical fundamentals gives you the best technical base. Classical training develops the posture, bowing, and intonation skills that transfer to every genre. Once the foundations are strong, any genre is open to you.
