Flute Styles We Teach

Our flute lessons span a wide range of genres — from classical through to jazz, folk, world music, and contemporary. Whatever style speaks to you, we'll help you develop the skills to play it beautifully. Students can also experience playing with others through our ensemble workshops.

    Flute Lessons FAQs

Children typically begin flute lessons between the ages of 8 and 10, when they have sufficient lung capacity, arm length, and hand size to hold and play the flute comfortably. Kids under 8 often find the flute physically difficult to manage. Feel free to ask us — we're happy to help you decide.
