CLASSICAL & CONTEMPORARY

Flute Styles We Teach

At Manhattan Music School, we offer flute tuition across both traditional classical repertoire and modern genres. Whether you're drawn to the beautiful classical repertoire from Baroque to modern composers, or you want to explore jazz, folk, world music, and contemporary settings, we'll tailor your lessons to the music that inspires you. We also teach ensemble playing for students who want to collaborate with others.

    Flute Lessons FAQs

Children typically begin flute lessons between the ages of 8 and 10, when they have enough physical development to manage the instrument properly. Kids under 8 often find the flute physically difficult to manage. That said, every child is different — get in touch and we'll advise.
